Want to become better at CoD? Here’s what legendary player Rambo has to advice

Call of Duty legend and one of the most famous video games pros Raymond “Rambo” Lussier has some advice for you, and we suggest you hear him up if you aim to become a better player.

One of the best former Call of Duty pro players spoke recently to amature players giving them some advice from his experience in the competitive field on how to become a pro player, and he focused specifically on the area of decision making.

Playing from CoD4 through to Ghosts, the Canadian legend collected everything but the Call of Duty Championship medal, placing twice in both 2013 and 2014. He’s currently working for Sledgehammer Games and helping build the new Call of Duty for 2017.

You can read what he said on Reddit below:

“If I were an amateur player, I would record my game play and watch it. Go through each single decision i made in the game and think about how it impacted the game for the better or worse. See what i could’ve done differently, how that could of impacted the game at a very deep level. (Spawns, team position, team mates decision along with mine, etc)”

“I’m not saying watch your game play and see how many shots you’ve hit or missed, because that’s going to change from game to game. And to be honest, so is your decision making, but the decision making part is purely in your control, while the shooting part can vary based on your opponents shooting.”

“The more you play, the more situations you’ll see for the first time, and also see ones that resemble previous conflicts you’ve had on the map/mode combo. There’s times where you need to react to certain situation instinctively, but as a whole, i’d go on a limb and say that 95% of the time, your decision should be based off logic and probability, using the information you know of the current scenario you’re going through.”

“This may seem complicated to some, some may think they know it all already, but i can tell you this: I played Call of Duty at the highest level for the most of 6years without any real break, and every time i got on to play, i learned something new about the game and how to approach it.”
