Watch the opening of Bioshock remade on the impressive CryEngine 3
Many consider the first game in the Bioshock series a modern classic in gaming. We were all astonished by the sheer level of details showcased in Rapture’s world 2007, and one of the fans decided to recreate the opening of the cult classic using Crytek’s CryEngine 3.
“I loved working on this project, because it forced me to push myself further, having to learn Zbrush for the sculptures and becoming more involved with CryEngine’s Trackview, Flowgraph and audio systems,” The 3D artist behind the project named “Gametime” said.
Watch below and see for yourself. Bioshock was released 2007 for PC and last gen of consoles. Built on a modified version of Unreal Engine 2.5 it looks a bit dated in front of today’s graphics technologies.
