Will Ferrell is becoming a pro Esports player soon

It looks like Hollywood is coming back to gaming once again in the form of an upcoming comedy movie starring Will Ferrell, who will be playing the role of a pro gamer according to report.

The movie in production at Universal studios is to be the first time Esports or competitive gaming are presented in a big budget movie shown at cinemas with someone as Ferrell playing the lead. The star will be playing the role of a gamer who is way above the average age of other players refusing to retire and leave the scene.

According to the Variety report both Gary Sanchez and Mosaic are handling the production of the script written by Michael Kvamme and Jordan Dunn. Expect a trailer or two soon enough as the movie is said to be releasing next year.
