Wings Gaming wins big at The International 6

Millions of eyes are focused on the Rio Olympics this year, but video games fans are looking elsewhere. The six days journey with the best teams in the world of Esports finally came to an end yesterday with the deserved win of newcomers Wings Gaming, who proved to be the best Dota 2 team on the planet as of today.

Led by captain Zhang “Y`Innocence” Yiping, the Chinese dragons managed to win the biggest Esports event with 20$ million prize pool coming at first place for a share of $9 million dollars, 1.8$ million to each player. The Grand Finals took place at Seattle Key Arena and attracted thousands of fans to see Wings Gaming face to face with Digital Chaos, the American team that managed to defeat Evil Geniuses earlier yesterday.

It’s both surprising and heartwarming to see the team that used to wear T-shirts as official uniforms becoming the world’s greatest last night. Members of Wings Gaming with ages ranging between 18-24 years proved themselves in the best way possible undoubtedly.

Congratulations to Wings Gaming and good luck to Digital Chaos in future events ! Watch the full match below:
