Winter update for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive arrives and R8 gun sparks complaints
Valve recently introduced the anticipated Winter Update for its competitive shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. It comes with many improvements and features as well as a new gun that might be the most overpowered in the game’s history.
R8 replaces Deasert Eagle spot in the game, and it’s more than enough to drop anyone dead with a single bullet. The $850 gun sparked a lot of complaints between the players for its overpower, and we don’t know if Valve plans on nerfing it or not, as it’s basically a Mini Awp as for now.
Aside from the R8 in the Winter Update there is the Killer Replay feature, which allows you to relive your last moments from your opponent’s perspective. Also, in competitive matchmaking, your team is now able to vote for a 60-second timeout to allow a more comfortable choosing.
And surely, the update wouldn’t be whole without the new chickens’ outfit that keeps them from getting cold.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is now available through Steam on PC. You can view the full patch notes here.
