New upcoming mode will make Team Fortress 2 a football game

Have you ever looked at the online multiplayer FPS game Team Fortress 2 and said “I wish i could play football in this game” for whatever reason? Both ways, Valve is making a new mode for the free Steam title that is bound to do the exact thing.

Collaborating with Bad Robot, the new mode will add the ability for players to compete in football matches that are played by holding the ball and shooting them at the opponent’s goal. Players of the other team can touch you to get the ball and go for the same thing so it’s as close as it gets to football.

New mode is still currently in Beta, but you can watch some gameplay via the video released on Valve News Network Youtube channel:

Team Fortress 2 has been around since 2007, and is still one of the most played games on Steam having gone Free2Play since a couple of years.
