Will we be getting a fighting League of Legends game soon?

Riot Games announced yesterday that they have bought the entire team and technologies of Radiant Entertainment, known for their fighting games experience. This lead many people to think, will this deal result in a League of Legends based fighting game?

This isn’t the first time we hear the words “Fighting” and “League of Legends”, as there were many projects before that made the famous MOBA characters go 1 on 1 like other fighting games. If Riot really wanted to make that official, we don’t think there’s a better fit than the team created by EVO championship creators.

There aren’t many games under the belt of Radiant Entertainment, as it only made two titles recently one of which is Rising Thunder; a free online fighting game, and town-building Stonehearth. While the support will be cut off from Rising Thunder to work on the new project, Stonehearth will continue development under the label of Riot.

Anyway, it’ll be interesting to see what these two will make together, whether it’s a new franchise or a fighting LoL. Let’s wait and see.
