Sky network invests 1.5 million pounds in Esports channel GINX TV

Multiple reports stated today that a new investment deal by Sky network had been made with a total of £1.5 million into GINX TV, set to be matched by their partner ITV.

The channel was considered to be the first 24 hour esports outlet on TV in the UK when it launched in June, broadcasting everything from from Turner’s E-League through to their own coverage of the Esports Championship Series.

Both major TV networks have the option to buy further holdings in GINX TV. If either Sky or ITV decide not to take up the option, the other party can acquire 100% of the channel.
