
Tunisian government continues to encourage Esports and video games activities in the country
Tunisian Minister of Telecommunications Mr. “Mohammad Al-Anwar Marouf” met a number of representatives of the Tunisian video games association yesterday, discussing the importance of competitive gaming in the light of 11 qualified Tunisian pro players to the world championship in October.
The talk handled several subjects related to the world of Video Games and its competitions that are rapidly increasing in popularity worldwide. The minister assured the importance of supporting this young domain and its pro players as the government is recognizing the potential of Esports and its competitions.
Tunisia is considered to be one of the leading countries in the Middle East on the Esports level, as tournaments are being held each year in increasing numbers thanks to multiple associations and independent organizers.
