Paris Saint-Germain signs with FIFA players and YellOwStaR becomes head of Esports division
Paris Saint-Germain has signed three Esports superstars as the club officially ventures into the world of competitive gaming. And just a day after his retirement announcement, legendary LoL player “YellOwStaR” is back to become the head of PSG Esports division.
The French club held a Twitch stream on Thursday to unveil PSG eSports and tweeted out the signing of two-time FIFA world champion August ‘Agge’ Rosenmeier and “future of FIFA” Lucas ‘Daxe’ Cuillerier. A League of Legends team is also going to enter the next European Challenger Series officially.
All of these investments put Paris Saint on a high place among other Football clubs signing Esports professionals. Many German and Spanish clubs are reportedly looking into getting into competitive gaming to follow the likes of Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Valencia.
