Upcoming Dota 2 Major to be held in Keiv

Dota 2’s biggest tournaments, called “Majors” are going to end for this year with the conclusion of the current Boston Major which will see a final between OG and Ad Finem teams. However, eyes are already on the next venture with Valve confirming the next Major will be in Kiev, Ukraine.

Dota 2 Kiev Major is the next step for 16 teams who will travel to Kiev next year, once again fighting for a $3 million prizepool with $1 million going to the eventual winner. Open qualifiers for the event will get underway in March with the finals held in April 2017.

The Kiev Major will be the first to be held in the CIS region, and the first to be held in Europe since the Frankfurt Major in November 2015. It will be produced by European outfit PGL, who were behind the Manila Major earlier this year.
