Here are the four qualified teams to IEM Katowice LoL that were officially confirmed
Taking place February 25th-26th, eight teams will compete for the IEM World Championship trophy and a $150,000 prize pool in Katowice. The first of those teams have now been officially confirmed.
IEM Oakland champions Unicorns of Love are joined by H2k of the EU LCS, Cloud9 of the NA LCS, and M19, the CIS team that placed in the top eight at the Season 6 World Championship as Albus Nox Luna. Other than UoL, each team qualified by being the highest placing team of their region at last year’s World Championship. It is anticipated that SK Telecom T1 and EDward Gaming will also compete in Katowice, the former being the reigning World Champions while the latter finished highest of the LPL representatives. Joining them also will be Samsung Galaxy, who won at IEM Gyeonggi.
Though these three have not been officially confirmed, they are expected to take all but one of the remaining places at IEM Katowice. There is no indication yet who will receive the final invitation.
