HyperX partners with an NBA team to help with upcoming eSports team
PC Gaming accessories company HyperX, division of Kingstone, has partnered with NBA’s Dallas Mavericks to work on the upcoming eSports team.
HyperX will sponsor the Dallas NBA 2K League team, as well as the rest of the organization. The partnership includes in-arena activities at the American Airlines Arena, including “digital signage, giveaways, and concourse activities,” according to the press release. It’s HyperX’s first partnership with an NBA 2K team but not the first in eSports, and Mavericks hopes that experience will transfer over.
“We see the NBA 2K league as a great way to provide entertainment value and partnering with HyperX is a valuable part of our plan to build a competitive NBA 2K League team,” Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said. “HyperX brings an abundance of experience in the gaming community and will be a valuable partner both on and off the court during esports tournaments and events.”
HyperX will make its first appearance at Dallas Mavericks game on December 2 during the Star Wars Day game between Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Clippers. Fans at the arena will be able to play NBA 2K18 and Star Wars Battlefront 2 while trying out HyperX gear.
