Clash of Clans World Championship ends with an Asian winner of the $1 million tournament

That’s right, the famous smartphone game Clash of Clans has ended its first world championship at ESL One Hamburg, and it had $1 million in prize money given to participating teams, which this Asian team proved to be the best of in a great grand final

Although MCES looked really strong after beating one of the best teams Tribe Gaming in yesterday’s semi-finals, the Chinese Nova Esports were able to present a very strong challenge in the final, dominating the game.

Both teams showed their best at the start of the first round, and it looked like an equal dispute over the Grand Prix with victories here and there. Although MCES managed to score the first series against Nova 12-11, they did not expect what will happen later.

Nova Esports managed to rise up in the second series as MCES failed to repeat their successful plans again, and thanks to a three-star attack by Youzi Pi on MCES’s Eryam, the Chinese team was able to win and force the game to go for a final third round.

Although the third round involved a more powerful rush by MCES with 100% damage in three seconds by Hugo Stiglitz and three-star attacks, Nova’s Wei managed to inflect damage to his opponent and achieve a final 93% victory.

Nova Esports players received prizes of $ 250,000, while MCES returned home with $ 150,000. With the end of this huge event at Barclaycard Arena, the Clash of Clans has laid the foundation for its entry into the world of esports. Although Clash games might not get Epic Games’ Fortnite-sized tournaments, we are seeing more and more smartphone titles putting their mark on this competitive arena to prove their eligibility here.
