Assassin’s Creed creator is making a similar game for EA
Famed game developer who’s well-known for creating the Assassin’s Creed franchise Jade Raymond had joined EA earlier this year, and it looks like she’s working on an open-world action title the ilk of Assassin’s Creed for her new company.
We previously heard EA’s intention in creating its own action titles to rival Assassin’s Creed, Batman and GTA V. As big as EA yet it surprisingly doesn’t have a single action title to match these games as of yet, and here comes in Motive studio led by Jade, according to an EA representative in an interview.
“We’ve never really operated in the largest genre of gaming, and that’s the action genre. That’s the Assassin’s Creed-style games; more open-world, more single-play versus multiplayer. It’s not been an area that we’ve operated in,” he said. “We recently hired Jade Raymond, who was behind the Assassin’s Creed franchise for Ubisoft and she will be building an action genre for us through a studio we’re building out in Montreal right now.”
News have been reporting that a new Star Wars game from Motive studio is in the work and it’s going to be an Assassin’s Creed game with the writing of Uncharted, thanx to its writer joining in. Will that be the action title EA is talking about or is there some other project?
