Call of Duty: Modern Warfare breaks new records for 2019

Just when we thought Call of Duty train was about to stop, the Modern Warfare series returns with a remake of Cpt. Price and his team’s adventure, shooting the franchise back to the top to break a record for this year’s iteration

Apparently, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare managed to become the best-selling game of 2019, outperforming all other titles in just three weeks, according to NPD analyst Mat Piscatella.

What makes it all the more amazing of a feat is that Call of Duty games had taken the lead every year despite them launching in the last 3-4 months of the year. The popular shooting series has maintained its position for 12 consecutive years at the top of the best-selling games even with the release of a number of relatively weak iterations like Call of Duty: Infinity Warfare with its notorious negative release and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 that didn’t have a single player mode.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is back to the roots with  realistic gameplay similar to previous games of the series with several new tools and changes and the most impressive graphics in the series to date. Although the online gameplay changes have divided fans between supporters and opponents, the story mode offers a distinct experience that is definitely better than the one present in previous years.

In related news, you will be delighted to learn that the PC version of the game has just received update 1.07.1, which brings several much-needed fixes, most notably stuttering during the story scenes, the famous Dev Error 6178 bug that has caused several problems and other sporadic improvements to the stability of the game.
