Huge changes for AP Jungler through Runic Echoes with upcoming patch 8.11

Big buff on the way to AP jungler through Runic Echoes changes with upcoming patch 8.11, according to the latest PBE update.

The major goal of the Runic Echoes change in 8.10, which changed the build path and added mana and cool down reduction to the final item, was to open up the door for more AP junglers that were restricted by mana and cool downs. Well, the change worked, because junglers like Fiddlesticks and Elise saw a little bit more playtime and were viable once again.

Unfortunately, high AD champions like Kha’Zix and Graves are still wildly out-performing AP junglers, so Riot is giving them even more help.

The AP on Runic Echoes is being increased by 10, going from 60 to 70 AP, and although the recipe for the item is changing a bit, the final cost of the item is still the same. This means you’re getting a chunk of damage without having to spend more gold on the item. That’s nothing but a good thing if you’re an AP jungler, and 10 AP is nothing to scoff at, either.

This is, undoubtedly, an across-the-board buff for all AP junglers. Even champions that build the item but aren’t necessarily AP, like Ivern, will benefit from this. Kha’Zix and Graves are extremely powerful right now, though, so although this will help tremendously, it probably won’t be enough to match those titans.

These changes must arrive with upcoming Patch 8.11 next week.
