CSGO next Major event won’t be too far away from our reach

CS:GO next major event won’t be too far long but it’s coming soon either, as it was announced today that the next huge event is coming back during the first half of 2018.

This means that the huge event circuit for 2017 ended last weekend with PGL Major Krakow 2017,  Gambit’s first big championship title win in history and also their second title of 2017, Immortals struggled to beat Gambit.

Their win in Krakow, Poland earned the CIS team $500,000 and a spot among Legends, roughly six months after the ELEAGUE Major had come to an end.

The news comes as little surprise as in 2016 Valve had already decided to support just two events, MLG Major Championship: Columbus and ESL One Cologne. Before that, there had been three big events in both 2014 and 2015.

Valve has asked multiple tournament organizers to submit proposals for the next big championship, with ELEAGUE, ESL, PGL, DreamHack and StarLadder among the companies expected to throw their hat in the ring.

And while nothing has been set in stone yet, Valve has confirmed to HLTV.org that the 12th huge event in Counter-Strike history is likely to be held in late January or early February.
