eFootball PES 2020 scores yet another MAJOR licensing deal to take on FIFA 20

As we approach the launch of the two most anticipated football games of the year, eFootball PES 2020 still seems to have some surprises up its sleeve in its fight against FIFA 20 in the form of more licensing deals that will make the competition between the two games ever more intense

Not only will PES 2020 have exclusive rights to Juventus, Bayern Munch, Manchester United and their own stadiums, but these deals will also be expanded to include full leagues as Konami announced  Serie A rights in full with its eFootball PES 2020 release, joining the Argentine league that has been announced earlier this month.

All of this is awesome, but this year’s knockout blow from Konami may be in its future contents. We are talking about a completely free DLC that will be launched for all players in the second quarter of next year, which is the fruit of cooperation with the European UEFA organization to officially license the upcoming Euro 2020 tournament including the eEuro 2020 digital tournament as well.

In addition to the UEFA deal, eFootball PES 2020 will offer more than 50 national teams at the launch of the game including former European champions Portugal and more. The exclusive deal will mean that the content of UEFA Euro 2020 DLC will have the kits of the official teams and their players who will be identical to their real counterparts in the tournament which starts in June next year.

UEFA EURO 2020 provides an opportunity to build an even closer working relationship, allowing us to activate it in new and exciting ways, and to engage with our mutual fans around the world.”

The UEFA eEURO 2020 championship will be an esports event played within eFootball PES 2020, represented by players selected by national teams across Europe to compete for glory. The tournament will include online group qualifiers which determine the arrival of 16 teams for the local finals to be held in London during the actual UEFA EURO 2020 finals.

The new move is part of Konami’s new vision to integrate the real world sports with eSports in PES releases from now on, which is why eFootball was the chosen name for the new release. The game will launch on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 10 this year, and will be present at the IeSF global eSports competition for the first time during the 11th edition of the tournament.
