Eight German football clubs are about to enter Esports

Names of big clubs and athletes are a sight that became ordinary to see in the world of Esports these days. From Basketball legends like Shaquille O’Neal to large Football clubs like Manchester United, the Esports fever is spreading everywhere.

Eight German football clubs are reportedly looking into getting on the Esports train with the biggest name mentioned being Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga champion which according to digital director “Stefan Mennerich” is “analyzing the esports sector very closely at the moment.” The other clubs are Borussia Mönchengladbach, Hamburger SV, Werder Bremen, FC Ingolstadt, Bayer Leverkusen, FC Cologne, and Hertha BC.

The potential move into esports could kickstart a European movement, following the influx of investors from the sporting world in the U.S and Asia.
