ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2017 competing teams announced
ELEAGUE returns to CS:GO scene for the first time since January when it held the ELEAGUE Major. The new televised event will be called ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2017, and here’s our first look at the contenders.
ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier will feature 16 of the best teams in a span of five weeks of competitions, which separates the teams in groups. The first week will be for teams wanting to qualify and reserve the final spots in groups, while the following weeks will be for group play.
Each group contains three top teams from past ELEAGUE seasons in 2016 and one spot for a qualifying team through an online open qualifier, which will be held on CEVO game servers on Aug. 26 and Aug. 27. The four slots will be given to the top two American teams and top two Europe/CIS teams. Registration for both regions is open to the public until the date of the qualifiers.
ELEAGUE Major concluded with Astralis on top, where it proved itself a force not to be reckoned with during the first half of the year.
