ESL Announces a new CS:GO $50K tournament in Bucharest

ESL will be heading to Bucharest, Romania early next month to start a new tournament, which perhaps won’t be the biggest event their, especially with ESL Southeast Europe Championship closing in, but it’s worth a watch.

 

The tournament will be held at the Romexpo indoor arena as part of the Bucharest Gaming Week on December 9, one day after the finals of the ESL Southeast Europe Championship, the biggest league in the region.

The open qualifiers will be held on the next two Saturdays and will both have three spots in the closed stage up for grabs. The six qualified teams will be joined by two invitees local to the SEE scene in the closed qualifier, scheduled for November 26-28.

The winner of the SEE league will be joined by two invitees and by the winner of an online qualifier in the tournament, which will feature a single-elimination, best-of-three format.

about $57K will be on the line for this event, and $28,555 of this dollars will reach the number one team packets.
