Evil Geniuses’ Ppd might come back to being a pro player again

It looks like the latest Evil Geniuses CEO and The International 5 grand champion Peter “ppd” Dager may be coming back soon to Dota 2 scene full-time, according to a new report.

The report says that sources have been talking about ppd intention to step down from his current position as CEO of EG, in order to return to the scene as a professional player.

This is still unconfirmed, however, and we don’t know if he will play for EG’s Dota 2 team or leave the organization entirely to play for another. In addition, ppd’s replacement as EG’s CEO also remains unclear.

Ppd accepted the position of CEO for EG back in December 2016, when it was announced that EG became a player-owned organization going forward. Since his acceptance, ppd has been inactive as a pro player, with his last appearance in an official match was during the Kiev Major qualifiers as captain of the North American squad WanteD.

EG was a subsidiary of GoodGame before that. The eSports agency was later sold to Twitch in 2014, before being released by the corporation as part of the move towards complete independence.

ppd has been creating Dota-related content despite his absence, such as podcasts and blog entries. He was also a prominent figure on the analysis desk at The International 7
