
Faze wins EPICENTER 2017 Europe Closed Qualifier
The European Qualifier for the EPICENTER 2017 began on 18 September, and the eighth of October was the last day of its activities after the winner was identified.
FaZe have secured their place at the EPICENTER Wild Card Qualifier after beating NiP 2-0 in the grand final of the Europe closed qualifier.
FaZe have become the first team to qualify for the EPICENTER Wild Card Qualifier which will hand out the last two spots at EPICENTER 2017.
Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács & company finished first in the eight-team Europe closed qualifier which had a group stage and double-elimination playoffs. After finishing first in their group,FaZe beat Heroic and NiP in the upper bracket to advance to the grand final.
FaZe once again squared off against NiP, this time in the grand final. Finn “karrigan” Andersen’s team beat the Swedes 19-15 on Cache and 16-6 on Mirage to book their spots in the Wild Card Qualifier.
The Wild Card Qualifier will be played offline in Saint Petersburg, Russia on October 23. A team from the Americas closed qualifier, one from the CIS closed qualifier, and an Asian team will take part at this event where the top two teams will move on to EPICENTER 2017.
