Fortnite running on a PS1? Here’s a video of how it would look

Fortnite is currently the world’s most famous game without doubt for the new generation of gamers, but how would things be if it was launched more than 20 years ago on the classic PlayStation 1 platform? This video carries the answer

With the popular game continuing to break more records on modern video game platforms including PS4, the new video from BlobVanDam brings us back to what we used to see in video games of the last century, including loud rock music, classic motion systems and, of course, low-quality graphics .

Nevertheless, the Youtuber was able to convey many feelings and memories through his latest project, which shows how it was to be if Fortnite was launched on the famous PS1 platform. The video is really well-made and takes into account the software and hardware limitations. The gameplay system seems very primitive reminding us of games such as Twisted Metal and Tomb Raider 1. Number of players is limited to 10, and are probably controlled by an A, as PS1 didn’t even have online multiplayer capabilities.

You can see this nostalgic Victory Royale below. Our favorite scene is the classic “Makarina” dance in the end:

In related news, Fortnite has recently become the first PS4 game to support crossplay with Xbox players, Nintendo Switch and even smartphones. The new feature is currently being closed and will be made available to the public very soon.
