Gameplay trailer for NieR: Automata combines Bayonetta and Devil May Cry together

Ever wondered what might happen when two of the best action hack ‘n’ slash titles combine into one? NieR: Automata might be the result according to this intense trailer.

Second game in the “Nier” series that is developed by Platinum Games and published by Square Enix got its debut gameplay trailer this week during Paris Games Week. Some story elements were also revealed about the game’s world.

The story revolves around an invasion that came from another world using machines as weapons to conquer earth, forcing humans to take shelter on the moon and develop killer androids to fight back. The most advanced unit in this android army is called YoRHa that specialize in infiltration, one of its soldiers is the game’s heroine called “YoRHa No. 2, Model B” or “2B” for short, and she’s a deadly android armed with swords and advanced weapons.
