Hideo Kojima leaves Konami and reestablishes KojiPro studio

Hideo Kojima told the world yesterday that he’s now finally free from Konami, announcing that the troubled relationship with the publisher came to an end with the expiration of his contract yesterday.

Kojima Productions is now reestablished with members of the old team on board, with a new logo and website. An announcement was also made that starting today, Kojima and his team collaborated with Sony to bring their first game as a console exclusive for the PS4 with the help of the company. The new title is said to be something completely different and has nothing to do with the Konami-owned Metal Gear or Silent Hill franchises.
