Immortals’ kNg, Teles brothers and fnx join newly founded CS: GO team
After Immortals officially disbanded its CS: GO roster earlier on, players Vito “kNg” Giuseppe, Henrique “HEN1” Teles, and Lucas “LUCAS1” Teles were left off without a team. That didn’t last for long however, as a newly announced roster is bringing the ex-Immortals back together soon enough.
100 Thieves, the multi-esport organization that recently signed a League of Legends roster, has made its entrance into Counter-Strike by picking up Brazilian lineup. Former Immortals players “kNg”, “HEN1” and “LUCAS1” joined by their former colleague and two-time Major winner Lincoln “fnx” Lau and TeamOne inactive Bruno “BIT” Fukuda are forming the new team. The lineup will be backed by Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert. The 100 Thieves brand is also owned by former Call of Duty professional player Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag.
Fnx was removed from the Immortals roster in May due to internal issues, kNg’s contract was terminated because he competed while under internal suspension, and HEN1 and LUCAS1 asked to be benched because they refused to compete for Immortals without kNg. The players managed to keep their Valve Major Legend status, since they retained three players from the original Immortals lineup that placed second at the PGL Major in July. This means we will be seeing 100 Thieves at the upcoming ELEAGUE major where they will also have their own in-game cosmetic sticker that can be purchased when Valve releases the Major capsules.
The newly formed 100Thieves roster can be seen for the first time in offline competition on Jan. 19 at the ELEAGUE Major: Boston.
