ROCCAT announced first two players joining team for next season in League of Legends

Team ROCCAT has announced the first player to join its roster for the 2018 EU LCS Spring Split—top laner Kim “Profit” Jun-hyung.

Profit, a former member of SK Telecom T1 and Ninjas in Pyjamas. After joining NiP in the 2017 Summer Split, Profit was seen as the main figurehead of the team, who were looking to push themselves towards a playoff spot. Instead, NiP finished last in the group at the end of the split and ended up being relegated from the EU LCS after failing to win promotion in the 2018 EU LCS Spring Promotion Tournament.

Then Team ROCCAT has announced its second player for the 2018 EU LCS Spring Split, picking up jungler Jonas “Memento” Elmarghichi.

Memento was originally part of ROCCAT in the 2016 EU LCS Summer Split, when he was brought in on loan from the Nerv organization. Since then, Memento has had spells with Giants Gaming and Schalke 04.

ROCCAT now has two out of five roster members confirmed and is expected to announce the final members of its roster in the coming days. Former Ninjas in Pyjamas ADC Martin “HeaQ” Kordmaa, former Schalke 04 player Tore “Norskeren” Hoel Eilertsen, and former Paris Saint-Germain mid laner Jin “Blanc” Seong-min have all been reported by ESPN to be joining the roster.

ROCCAT finished fourth overall in both the 2017 spring and Summer Splits in the EU LCS.
