Only a few days after a disappointing run at The Bucharest Major 2018, cn LGD.Forever Young has announced that the organization and my Chong Xin ‘Ohaiyo’ Khoo have parted ways.

The Malaysian joined the squad just five weeks ago at the beginning of February after being replaced by us Saahil ‘Universe’ Arora in world Fnatic.

However, he and his new teammates didn’t find much success. LGD.Forever Young failed to qualify for the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018 and DreamLeague Season 9 Finals in Sweden.

The organization spoke of “bad chemistry” in the team as the reason behind Ohaiyo’s replacement in the official announcement on their Weibo account.

With Ohaiyo leaving LFY, cn He ‘InFlame’ Yongzheng will return to the starting roster in his old position, which he left due to health problems when the Malaysian and cn Yao ‘Yao’ Zhengzheng joined on February 4th.

The current roster for LGD.Forever Young have Du ‘Monet’ Peng, Xie ‘Super!’ Junhao, He ‘InFlame’ Yongzheng, Yao ‘Yao’ Zhengzheng and Soon Chuan ‘ah fu’ Tue.

The decision to drop Ohaiyo comes at a heavy cost to LGD.Forever Young, Since the rosters for The International were locked in on February 5th, the change means that the team isn’t eligible for direct or regional qualifier invites to The International.

LGD will have to go through the open qualifiers if it wants to participate in The International 2018.
