Misfits benches ShahZam and Replace Him With Another Player

Misfits announced via Twitter yesterday that Shahzeeb “ShahZaM” Khan would be sitting out of the Americas Minor Championship, opting for someone who can join their gaming house. He’ll be replaced by Caio “zqk” Fonseca, a former Selfless gaming player.

Both ShahZam and the organization assured fans that it “it has nothing to do with personality/conflict or anything in-game.” The only issue seems to be the fact that he couldn’t commit to the gaming house for personal reasons.

“It’s in the best interest to have someone present which will yield the most productive bootcamp possible as we focus on this event,” a follow-up tweet to the announcement said. “To be clear: Shazaam [sic] is benched and @caiozqk is trailing for us starting at the minor.”
