Na’vi ex-player Zeus joins Gambit as their new CS: Go captain

It looks like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive beloved pro Daniil “Zeus” Teslenko has found for himself a new home at Gambit Esports, as he leaves Na’Vi behind and goes to become the new captain of the former.

Natus Vincere’s previous captain Zeus will reclaim his position at Gambit’s CS: GO squad as he joins the team after being sidelined by Na’Vi’s new captain “seized” and then pushed off from the starting lineup completely by “s1mple”, despite the big role Zeus played in leading Na’Vi into multiple  top-place finishes, including first at DreamHack Leipzig in January and second at DreamHack Masters Malmo in April.

Zeus started his journey with Na’Vi back in 2009 since he was an original member of the CS 1.6 team before making the transition to CS: GO later on.

“We simply couldn’t ignore Daniil’s leadership qualities and his years-long history of success,” Gambit said in the announcement. With Gambit CEO Konstantin “groove” Pikiner adding, “He loves competing and commits himself to it completely, does his best to achieve results. I am glad to welcome a player of his calibre to Gambit.”

The Gambit CS:GO roster now comprises of Zeus, Abay “HObbit” Khassenov, Mikhail “Dosia” Stolyarov, Dauren “AdreN” Kystaubayev, and Rustem “mou” Telepov. Team will be playing at ESWC in Paris at the end of the month, where they go head-to-head with FaZe Clan in the quarterfinals.
