OG guarantees DAC grand finals spot
The three-times Dota 2 Valve Majors champion OG is back to action with a grand final seat in the $580,000 Dota 2 Asia Championship.
Working their way past China’s two top teams, OG was qualified to the finals after fighting through the upper bracket, which pitted OG against Invictus Gaming. The match consisted of nearly two-and-a-half hours of game tim but despite the marathon-length of the series, OG were in complete control for the majority of the final game. While the victory against Invictus Gaming is impressive in its own right, OG also defeated the current top-rated team from China, Newbee, on the first day of playoff games.
Both Newbee and Invictus will now be fighting for a spot in the final. The confrontation between the teams will be kicking off the final day of the Dota 2 Asia Championship on April 4.
