Virtus.Pro, SK Gaming, Fnatic and more are winners at StarSeries S3 finals first day

The first day of StarLadder StarSeries Season 3 finals has concluded, and with it the matches that declared some teams winners while others didn’t make it. Among those who emerged victorious was SK Gaming, Astralis, North and Fnatic, while FaZe Clan was unfortunate to fall in front of HellRaisers.

In the first match of the tournament, Danish squad North managed to show their glorious performance in front of Immortals on Cobblestone and thus winning 16-3. In another match we had Virtus.Pro winning another easy win in front of the Korean squad of MVP Project 16 to 4. Brazilian SK Gaming had a close match with TyLoo only narrowly gaining the edge at 16-12 on Mirage, while Astralis had a similar result in front of CLG 16-11 on Train.

From its side, FaZe didn’t manage to present a strong performance tonight in front of HellRaisers who won 16-10 thanks to the efforts of the players lead by Bence “DeadFox” Borocz great plays on Cache. Fnatic, however, had a better fortune winning over Gambit 16-8.

We’re still waiting to see the results of G2, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Na’Vi and UYA who didn’t have a matchup yet. As for the loser teams this doesn’t mean the end as every team still has two chances to comeback to the competition thanks to its Swiss system.
