OpTic Gaming wins CoD’s ESWC CWL at first place

OpTic Gaming is the champion of ESWC CWL Paris tournament, which featured a $100,000 prize pool that 62 teams from Europe and North America competed to get the biggest share of.

Taking place in the French capital, the competition was deemed so crucial for CoD Pro Points that 24 teams travelled across the Atlantic to compete against the EU teams. The tournament took place the weekend after MLG’s CWL Atlanta event, with the majority of the top teams flying straight to Paris after the competition ended.

North American teams dominated and made some upsets throughout the weekend, with a number of teams accruing only the same amount of points if they had played the GB ladder at home. The next competition will take place in 4 weeks time in Dallas, as MLG host another $200,000 epic, right before the CWL Pro League points cut off date.

OpTic won $40,000 first prize and 10k Pro points, while FaZe came second with $24,000 and 6K PP, and Rise Nation came third with $16,000 and 4k PP for a prize. Check out the full numbers below:
