ROG MASTERS 2017 EMEA Finals reach its end

Today we bid farewell to another qualifying station for this year’s ROG Masters 2017 after the EMEA qualification for the Middle East, Europe and Africa has come to an end.

 

Gambit have qualified for ROG Masters 2017 after beating Seed 2-0 in semi-finals at the EMEA Finals (16-13 on Cobblestone and 16-2 on Train).

The second semi-final in Krefeld, Germany at the ROG Masters EMEA Finals featured Seed and Gambit The best-of-three series offered a spot at the ROG Masters World Finals.

The action kicked off on Cobblestone where Dauren “AdreN”Kystaubayev clutched a 1vs2 in the pistol round to give his CT-sided team the lead. Gambit won five more rounds to lead 6-0 but Seed didn’t let the Kazakhstani team run away with the game (6-1).

Kevin “kRYSTAL” Amend won a post-plant 1vs3 to earn his team’s second round but Gambit responded well and finished the first half 11-4 ahead. Jesse “zehN” Linjala’s triple kill in the second half pistol round gave Seed their fifth round and opened the door for a potential comeback (11-5).

Timo “Spiidi” Richter & company trailed 14-13 as they closed the gap with their good CT-side defense and could have tied the game at 14-14 but they lost a 2vs1 against Bektiyar “fitch”Bahytov. Gambit then closed out the map with a 16-13.

Gambit started Train on the T-side and won the first three rounds. Even though Seed picked up the first weapon round victory, Gambit went on a remarkable nine round streak to lead 12-1. Gambit finished the half with a 13-2 lead. Gambitclosed out the game 16-2 and qualified for ROG Masters 2017.

The team list for ROG Masters 2017, which will offer $250,000 in cash prizes, which will take place from December 7-10 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, currently looks as follows:
