Saudi Institution Cup gathers gamers for the country’s first official gaming tournament

Events for Saudi Institution Gamers Cup concluded in March 3, marking a successful tournament that is the first to be backed by official authorities

 

The cup held chances for gamers to compete in various titles like FIFA 18, Tekken 7, League of Legends and more. Prize pool consisted of thousands of Riyals that were given away to winners in this official tournament organized by SAFEIS, Saudi Sports Federation and General Institution of sports.

Here’s the winners names:

  • Fifa 18: Ahmad Al-harbi
  • Super Smash Bros.: Ahmad Al-haify from Crocodrilosgg
  • League of Legends: Nasr Esports
  • Tekken 7: Ghasan Khreis
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: Ahmad Al-Rashid

The tournament was held in Riyadh and saw participation of over 1600 players from various backgrounds and ages. Saudi Arabia is currently witnessing an increase in eSports support following official recognition by the government.
