Shroud leaves Twitch in an unexpected move to rival platform
A shocking new announcement came to the surprise of many, with another Twitch star making the move in footsteps of Tyler “Ninja” Blevins. Shroud is the latest name to join Microsoft’s competing platform, Mixer
Although Shroud was not interested in repeating the Ninja deal at first, an agreement was reached that the star apparently could not refuse with his announcement hours earlier that he had left for a “new home” with a short clip through his account on Twitter.

Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek is one of the most prominent personalities of livestreaming, where he built his fame during his time in the competitive CS: GO scene to later retire and devote to live broadcast full-time while finding his new passion in the games of the Battle Royale like PUBG and Apex Legends.
The new move comes after Ninja, the world’s most popular gamer, moved to Mixer last month for an unspecified amount, causing a dramatic rise in the number of views and subscriptions on the Microsoft-owned platform. Now with Shroud joining, we can expect more users to come to the site to become a friendly competitor to Twitch.
The reason may not be just money, according to Ninja’s business manager and his wife Jessica Blevins. It is because of the difficulties Twitch puts the Streamers in their cooperation and expansion deals, while Microsoft provides many of the facilities and assistance needed to promote.
However, Mixer is still far from Twitch head-to-head. New data released by StreamElements in collaboration with Arsenal.gg found that Mixer watched jumped to 3 million hours with Blevins joining the platform in August, while Twitch recorded 932.1 million in the same period. .
