
Six new Spanish football clubs are teasing Esports ventures
It all started with the German FC Schalke football club, now teams are trying to get into Esports by numbers.
Remember when Eight German football clubs showed interest in signing professional gamers? Today’s news is about Six Spanish clubs that mysteriously all tweeted about their will to have pro Esports players wearing the teams’ shirts. So far Real Sociedad, Villareal CF, Sevilla Futbol Club, Real Zargoza, Real Aviles CF and Real Sporting de Gijon have shown their interests hinting at a League of some sort that may be announced at the ongoing Barcelona Games World.
We will be waiting to hear more about the matter. Not only football clubs have gotten into Esports but also Basketball, as the 76ers recently announced a new Esports division as will as two iconic NBA legends Rick Fox and Shaquille O’Neal having their own teams competing on the Esports field right now.
