
StarCraft: Remastered is coming this date for $15
Blizzard is releasing StarCraft: Remastered on Aug. 14, the developer announced last night. Available on Windows and Mac for $14.99, The release comes with the original game’s beloved gameplay while adding a graphical upgrade to both StarCraft and StarCraft: Brood War, with widescreen support for up to 4K resolution.
Players will be able to switch between the old graphics and the remastered with just one click, too.Those who buy StarCraft: Remastered will be able to play with those still using the original version.
StarCraft: Remastered not only brings terrans, protoss, and zerg back to the forefront, but it also introduces new matchmaking and leaderboards, player profiles, and cloud saving for campaign progress, hot keys, and replays.
Those who purchase the game before Aug. 14 will have access to three building skins for StarCraft: Remastered—the Char Hive, the Korhal Command Center, and the Aiur Nexus. Digital bonuses for StarCraft 2 are also available, including Alexei Stukov co-op commander and three StarCraft: Remastered portraits. It’s available in the Blizzard store.
