Steam probably hacked and chaos is spreading

Update: As of now, many users saw stability in the service once again, so it’s most likely resolved by now.

Original Story: If you’re one of Valve’s digital platform users, we suggest that you log off from your account until a further notice, as it has been hacked for few hours now.

It all happened when users started seeing weird things when visiting the website, as Steam started to be showing in different languages and worst; it showed other people’s account details as well. This might mean that no one is safe now and information may be shared all over the world. It’s apparent that the hacker group SkidNP did their promise and took the servers down today which caused this chaos in the database.

Valve is yet to comment on the matter. We advice you to keep out of Steam until the problem gets resolved just in case. Steam is currently having its year-end winter sales, which makes the situation even more disastrous for the company.
