Team Liquid reveals new Dota 2 roster to represent the organization
The new Dota 2 roster may not be able to compensate fans for the loss of former Team Liquid legends, but these players will definitely do their best to achieve the best possible results with their new organization.
Everyone was shocked with KuroKy and his teammates’ announcement that they were leaving Team Liquid, having performed extremely well over the years at The International, winning TI7 and ending second at TI9. The reason for departure was not the discontent of the players, but their desire to create a private esports organization managed by the players themselves.
Although the news seem promising for the future of the legendary squad, Liquid was left in a critical position when it comes to continuing their presence in Dota 2. Fortunately, we didn’t have to wait long to see who the new players might be.
The new Team Liquid lineup is made up of ex-Alliance players:
- Michael “miCKe” Vu
- Maximilian “qojqva” Brocker
- Samuel “Boxi” Svahn
- Tommy “Taiga” Le
- Aydin “iNSaNiA” Sarkohi
These names may not be some of the best players in the world, but Team Liquid has previously shown its preference for cohesive and stable lineups, and getting a full roster is definitely what they wanted to return to the competition as soon as possible.
The competitive history of these professionals dates back to Heroes of Newerth (HoN) several years ago, where they found fame and success, notably “INSaNiA” and “miCKe”. They have debuted last year with Alliance, and made it to TI9’s main stage this year but lost in the first round.
Whether the players will learn from their past mistakes and do better is something we have to wait to see, as we will start seeing them with their new logo of Liquid at the start of the new competitive Dota 2 season DPC 2019-2020 next November.
