This eSports organization is building a $13 million training center in LA

According to several reports, the renowned Team SoloMid (TSM) has started building a 25,000-square-foot center in Los Angeles, USA, with the aim of being fully dedicated to the esports teams’ training for various games under the organization’s supervision.
The new facility will include all the equipments necessary for the players’ training and the various operations of the organization in the United States with several studios dedicated to live broadcasting, rooms for coaches, training grounds equipped with the latest computers, medical specialists, in addition to a fitness center.
Lenovo will sponsor the new center by providing gaming PCs and accessories, but it will not be the only company sponsoring this center, with TSM revealing that other deals will be disclosed in the future, with the opening date of the center being February 2020.
The name TSM may not sound relevant outside of competitive League of Legends, which is the organization’s most successful game with six LCS wins, but the pro organization has many other teams under its belt in games like Apex Legends, PUBG, Fortnite, and Rocket League, so it makes sense to devote a huge space to all those teams to practice in one place.
“Having all the players in one space and tracking how they perform, that’s where we can have the largest areas of growth,” CEO Andy ‘Reginald’ Dinh said. “Most esports teams don’t have this. We’re going to take it to a new level.”
Other statements by Mr. Dinh included the fact that he looked up to basketball training centers for an inspiration for the construction of the new facility for his organization, which is set to be the largest training center in North America for gaming.
Although the opening of large training facilities is not really new, it is still a relatively recent trend in the West, with a number of major organizations both in the Asian continent and the CIS region building similar centers worth millions of dollars, with one of prominent examples being the training camp of the Polish team Virtus.Pro that is owned by the well-known Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov.
