TSM for the first time in their history didn’t qualify to the Worlds and more in the final qualifiers roster

Few hours ago TSM faced Cloud9 in NA LCS regional gauntlet for the last spot to represent North America in World championship this year.

It’s probably safe to say that no one thought it would be a 3-0 sweep, though, nor that TSM would play quite as poor as they did. Sure, C9 surprised them with an audacious top lane Hecarim, but that doesn’t excuse just how badly TSM were routed today by their long-time rivals.

Cloud9 didn’t play as well as we’d hope from a now Worlds-qualifying team. But Cloud9 still looked at least a little better than they did in their battle for the NA LCS title against Liquid last week where they all but crumpled.

With that victory, Cloud9 aims to surprise North American fans for another year at Worlds by being the region’s third seed.

All qualifiers team for the 2018 League of Legends World Championship this year is here below:

NA LCS (North America)

• Team Liquid: Liquid secured NA’s first seed by sweeping Cloud9 in the 2018 NA LCS Summer Split finals on Sept. 9.
• 100 Thieves: 100 Thieves will be headed to Worlds as NA’s second seed thanks to their championship point total.
• Cloud9: C9 earned the region’s third seed by sweeping TSM in the NA LCS regional finals on Sept. 17.

EU LCS (Europe)

• Fnatic: Fnatic beat Schalke 04 in the EU LCS Summer finals on Sept. 9 to secure the region’s first seed.
• Team Vitality: Vitality gained entry to Worlds as the EU LCS’ second seed through their championship point total.
• G2 Esports: G2 secured the region’s third seed after defeating Schalke 04 in the EU LCS regional finals on Sept. 17.

LCK (South Korea)

• Kt Rolster: KT beat Griffin in the LCK finals on Sept. 8 to secure the region’s first seed.
• Afreeca Freecs: Afreeca gained entry to Worlds as the LCK’s second seed through their championship point total.
• Gen.G: Gen.G won the LCK regional finals against KINGZONE DragonX to qualify for Worlds as the region’s third seed.

LMS (TW/HK/MCO)

• Flash Wolves: Flash Wolves beat MAD Team in the LMS finals to secure first seed in the region.
• MAD Team: MAD Team gained entry to Worlds at the LMS’s second seed through their championship point total.

LPL (China)

• Royal Never Give Up:  RNG secured first seed in the LPL after defeating Invictus Gaming in the 2018 summer finals.
• Invictus Gaming: Invictus Gaming  gained entry to Worlds at the LPL’s second seed through their championship point total.
• EDward Gaming: EDG won the LPL regional finals against Rogue Gaming to qualify for Worlds as the region’s third seed.

LJL (Japan)

• DetonatioN FocusMe:  This team won the 2018 LJN Summer Season Playoffs against Unsold Stuff Gaming 3-1 on Sept. 15.

LLN (Latin America North)

• Infinity eSports: This team won the 2018 LLN Closing Season Playoffs against Dash9 Gaming 3-2 on Sept. 8.

CLS (Latin America South)

• Kaos Latin Gamers: This team won the 2018 LCS Closing Playoffs against Rebirth eSports 3-1 on Sept. 9.

OPL (Oceania)

• Dire Wolves: This team won the OPL 2018 Split Two finals against Chiefs Esports Club 3-1 on Sept. 2.

SEA (South East Asia)

• Ascension Gaming: This team won the SEA finals against MEGA 3-0 on Aug. 19.

TCL (Turkey)

• SuperMassive Esports: This team won the 2018 TCL summer finals against Royal Bandits 3-1 on Sept. 16.
