Virtus.Pro, Fnatic and more qualify to ELEAGUE Major semi finals

Few hours separate us from knowing who will be the two teams to be facing off in the grand finals of 2017’s biggest yet CS: GO Major tournament, as the quarter finals just concluded allowing four of the strongest teams into the semis.

Valve Major two times champion SK Gaming managed to pass the first stage of the playoffs with a win over FaZe Clan earlier tonight, in a match that didn’t have a clear winner until the third map with win swapping between FaZe 16-7 at Mirage to 16-3 at Train for SK Gaming, with the decisive map being Overpass where FalleN and co showed their true power and won the match.

Before that match it was Fnatic and Gambit. The Swedes were strong off heels with a win on Cache 16-7 that pushed Gambit to rebound and take Overpass map with 16-3, the match was forced into a third map which was Dust2 where Fnatic had the final say with a 16-7 final win.

Astralis as well reached the semis after a strong match against Na’Vi starting with Overpass win 16-7, then a loss Na’Vi inflicted on Mirage which was followed by victory for Astralis at Dust2 despite Na’Vi taking the first half of that map.

The strongest matchup has to be Virtus.Pro against North last night, as this match showed impressive skills from both sides with North forcing VP to go all out into the third map. While Overpass had VP winning 16-4, North took Cache with a very close result of 16-12. Cobblestone was the map where Virtus relentlessly barraged North with round wins for it to finish at 16-3 and a qualify to semi finals of ELEAGUE Major.

So SK Gaming, Virtus.Pro, Fnatic and Astralis to the next stage. We will be seeing some very heated competition and we can’t wait to see which teams the grand finals will feature.
