Day one results of the WCA 2017 MENA regional final Dota 2

Events of the first-ever Dota 2 MENA qualifiers for international WCA 2017 tournament had concluded yesterday evening, and it was a tense competitions-packed day where the best Arab teams fought relentlessly.

The WCA 2017 qualifiers matches are divided between Upper and Lower brackets, which meant that each team had two chances to comeback to the tournament albeit it’s a little harder to stay in the Lower Bracket given that it has Best-of-One format where only one team will qualify to the Grand Final. We said goodbye to many good teams yesterday because of that, and now the numbers are shrinking as we move closer to the tournament’s finals.

The competition continues today according to the table, starting at 6PM UAE time . Two matches in particular will be worth to watch, which are the quarter finals matches of the Upper bracket between Bend Over vs Orcus led by The International 7 champion Amer “Miracle-“ Al Barqawi at 9PM, and RAZE vs Team Lebanon led by his Team Liquid pal “GH” at 6PM. Both games are casted on our Twitch page so be sure to tune in.

 

Top three teams prize pool at WCA 2017 MENA:

  • First Place: 106,000 Dirhams (~$28,859) + spot at main event in China
  • Second Place: 53,000 Dirhams (~$14,429)
  • Third Place: 26,500 Dirhams (~$7,214)

 

 

 

WCA 2017 MENA qualifiers are organized by eSports Middle East and in partnership and endorsement of Hub Zero and MSI Middle East.
