Virtus.Pro is bringing back two legacy CS: GO players to its roster

Despite our talk about PashaBiceps leaving Virtus.Pro organization last week, not all news have to be sad for fans of the famous Polish team in the global world of eSports. In fact, some may be pleased to find out who came back to play with the team again which are two of the original squad players

The Virtus.Pro break from the CS: GO did not last as long as we thought, as the news began to show the organization’s return to form with a team to compete next year, less than two weeks after announcing its suspension for internal restructuring. Yesterday, the CS: GO team revealed that both Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski and Pawel “byali” Bielinski will be returning to their positions in the roster.

In addition to them, a new face from AGO Esports, Mateusz “TOAO” Zawistowski, will join the squad that will keep Michal “MICHU” Muller and Michal “snatchie” Rudski in addition to current coach Jakub “kuben” Gurczynski. Unfortunately, this news confirms that Jaroslaw “pashaBiceps” Jarzabkowski and Piotr “morelz” Taterka will not stay with VP as we expected, in addition to laying off Filip “NEO” Kubski after playing with the team for nearly five years.

The future of “pashaBiceps” is still obscure at the moment with Virtus statement that it will reveal its plans for him in the near future, so we may see see him in an administrative position in one way or another. This means that only two players from the popular 2017 lineup will continue with the team, Snax and Byali.

“I regret not making these changes early, [trying to stay in the past.]” General Manager of VP Roman Dvoryankin said. “Things may be different now [if i was more proactive]… the players may have stepped up. Kuben is not the only one to blame (for the slump of the team)”

The legendary VP lineup, which includes Pasha, NEO and Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas, has won the prestigious EMS Katowice 2014 Championship and a number of important tournaments over the years. In the recent past, the ELEAGUE Atlanta Major 2017 and the DreamHack Masters Las Vegas were the team’s last achievements before going downhill. Virtus.Pro came out of 2018 almost empty-handed.

We hope the new changes will be better for the team and we will be waiting to see the team in upcoming events in the second quarter of 2019 as they failed to qualify for the IEM Katowice Major Championship in February.
