Is this the Wii U’s new gamepad ?

Nintendo seems to be teasing something of a redesign for its latest console’s gamepad. The tablet-like controller didn’t look familiar and was blurred on purpose in the latest commercial for Mario Kart 8.

The gamepad shown is in the picture below, and it looks different than the one we know. The screen looks bigger and overall width of the controller is smaller. See for yourself.
