You can now play PS2 games on your PS4
Sony announced it yesterday, starting today you’ll be able to play PS2 games on your PS4. The announcement was made during this year’s Playstation Experience expo.
Sadly, this comes with a price tag. Being able to play PS2 games requires you to buy the said games from the store; no disc emulation. There will be patches of games every while that you can get on PSN.
Some new features include the support of 1080p upscaled graphics, Trophies, Remote Play functionality and more. If you want to try it out you can now choose between a starter collection available on the US store then the other ones later on. Here’s a list of those titles:
- Dark Cloud — $14.99
- Grand Theft Auto III — $14.99
- Grand Theft Auto: Vice City — $14.99
- Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas — $14.99
- Rogue Galaxy — $14.99
- The Mark of Kri — $14.99
- Twisted Metal: Black — $9.99
- War of the Monsters — $9.99
