EVO 2018 is returning to Las Vegas in an unusual date

It looks like the biggest fighting game eventis once again returning to Las Vegas, however, with a bit of a different date this time.

Evo 2018 will be held at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino on August 3 to 5, bringing the best fighting game players from around the world. Despite the familiar landscape of the competition, the event is being staged a month later than usual, with the event traditionally taking place in July.

The reason for the change in date has not been revealed, and the game list is still unknown at this point but fans can expect to see the usual favorites such as Street Fighter V and Smash Bros.

Evo 2017 saw nine different fighting games tournaments, with almost five million total viewers tuned in to watch the Street Fighter Evo finals on streaming sites as well as television channels ESPN2 and Disney XD.
